QR Code Generator
Turn text or links into a PNG QR code, drawn locally and ready to save.
What this tool does
Turns text, links, or contact details into a QR code image (PNG) in real time, ready to download or screenshot. Generation happens locally in your browser — nothing you type is uploaded, so intranet URLs and temporary passcodes are safe to encode.
Typical use cases
Taking links offline: “scan to visit” on posters, flyers, and packaging; letting an audience grab slides by scanning the projector screen; encoding Wi-Fi credentials, email addresses, or phone numbers for easy saving; and the developer classic — opening the page running on your laptop from your phone.
Caveats
Longer content means a denser code; for print or distance scanning, keep it short (under ~100 characters, use a short link if needed). Static codes from this tool never “expire” — the code is just a picture of its content; the “QR codes expire” stories refer to dynamic codes whose short-link service lapsed. When printing, keep the quiet zone (white margin) intact and use a dark code on a light background — inverted contrast often fails to scan.
