Convert HEIC to PNG without an intermediate JPG
Choose HEIC or HEIF files and leave maximum width at 0 to retain decoded dimensions. A smaller width scales proportionally without enlarging smaller inputs. Run conversion, inspect previews and download the PNGs or ZIP.
PNG is encoded directly from decoded pixels without a JPEG intermediate. There is no JPEG quality slider: PNG output uses lossless encoding of those pixels. Resizing still changes pixels.
Does PNG preserve everything in the original HEIC?
No. This tool converts the primary still image. It does not preserve the complete HEIC container, Live Photo video, depth data, HDR or original metadata. PNG encoding cannot restore detail already absent from the decoded image. Keep the HEIC original.
Why is the PNG larger than the HEIC?
PNG files can be much larger, especially for photographs. Use PNG when the receiving application needs it, not as a promise of a smaller file. Choose HEIC to JPG for common photo sharing, or the image compressor for a specific byte limit.
What are the limits and failure behavior?
Up to 10 files, 10 MB each and 50 MB total; up to 40 million decoded pixels per image. One MB here is 1048576 bytes. Each decode has a 45-second timeout. Successful outputs are downloadable; failed files are listed separately and excluded from the ZIP. The batch output budget is 100 MB.
Files are processed locally. Opening the website and loading the decoder require internet. If conversion fails, try a supported current browser, fewer files or a smaller image. Renaming another format to .heic does not make it a valid HEIC.
