Create a transparent cutout
Choose a PNG, JPG or WebP image and select Process image. The first run downloads the U²-Net small model and its runtime. A checkerboard represents transparency in the preview; it is not part of the downloaded PNG. Compare edges with the original before using the cutout.
What works best?
Use one clear foreground subject with a contrasting background. The model estimates a foreground mask at 320 × 320 and resizes it to the original dimensions. Hair, glass, thin objects, similar foreground and background colors, and multiple overlapping subjects may be imperfect. This version does not include manual edge refinement.
Image limits and privacy
Use one file up to 10 MB, 4,194,304 pixels and a longest side of 4096 pixels. Your image stays in the browser; only model and application files are downloaded. A compatible browser with WebAssembly and sufficient memory is required. Opening the site and loading the model require internet. Cancel is available during processing.
Download and next steps
The result is a PNG at the original dimensions with an alpha channel. Existing transparency is preserved through the estimated mask. Source metadata is not retained. Download before leaving the page; results are not saved as a history. Use the image compressor afterward if the file is too large, choosing a format that supports transparency.
